Group C cars are basically closed cockpit race cars developed to compete in the 'Group C World Endurance Championship' (World Sportscar Championship) and the American 'IMSA Camel GTP' series in the 1980's and early 1990's.
The class attracted factory backed entries from a number of large auto manufacturers including Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Jaguar, aswell as entrants from pure race car producers such as Spice and Tiga.
